Club Joi is the biggest private club in Los Angeles — an on-premise swing lifestyle club, centrally located, where open-minded couples and single ladies enjoy a sexually uninhibited environment. It is members only. Apply here.
Most people come to lifestyle clubs to enhance their love life within their relationship. Long-term relationships and marriages are difficult for everyone. Comedian Chris Rock once said "There ain't no happiness nowhere. You're either single and lonely or married and miserable." The Lifestyle offers a third, more realistic approach.
Sexuality surrounds us all day, every day — TV, social media, the clothes we wear, the people we meet. We grow up flirting and being attracted to others, and it's difficult to turn that off in a relationship. Too often that leads to affairs and heartbreak, leaving people unfulfilled or divorced and alone.
It's easier to pass on temptation knowing that at a lifestyle club you can flirt, tease, and even find satisfaction — together. And if something, or someone, turns you on, Club Joi makes it easy to take that next step with our plush, sexy, on-premise play areas.
It feels very natural. Most people agree it's very different from a regular club. At a singles club guys can be aggressive. At a swing club, gentlemen are with their partners and have agreed to follow the rules — creating a comfortable atmosphere where ladies have the freedom to express themselves in a way rarely experienced anywhere else. Ladies call the shots here. It's a great place to dance, party, and meet new friends — and if you decide you want more, you can venture into our playrooms and fulfill your fantasies.
The big difference between a vanilla club and a modern swing club is having the freedom to do what you really want to do: find someone you're attracted to, and play with them.
Many swingers find they're so turned on over the weekend, they go at each other like rabbits the rest of the week — eagerly looking forward to the next weekend, like they used to when they were teenagers.
Broaching the subject is often the biggest hurdle. Your spouse won't get mad at you for wanting to improve your sex life — in fact, they'll probably get as excited as you are. Most people have entertained the thought. A surprising number of wives are the first to bring it up. Ladies find themselves in a position of control and enjoy a sense of freedom they never thought possible. Once that line of communication opens, a deeper trust follows, and couples become even closer.
Many couples start as voyeurs and gradually work their way toward the full swing experience. Everyone is free to move at their own pace. There are basically four stages:
Come to dance, meet people, take it all in. Plenty of couples spend their first nights just soaking up the atmosphere — and that's completely welcome.
Enjoy time with your own partner in our exhibitionist-friendly spaces, on your terms.
Kissing and touching with another couple — only ever with a clear yes from everyone involved.
The full swing experience. With the right couple, when — and only if — you're both ready.
Some folks take years. Others run the gamut multipul times the first night! There is no wrong or right way. Come with zero expectations, and the night can only get better from there.
Today's new breed of swingers are sexy, fit, and fun. Couples who frequent lifestyle clubs are conscious of their shape and style — after all, we're all dating again and want to look attractive!
No matter where you fit in — even if you've never tried swinging, or you're not sure you're ready for that next big step — the erotic atmosphere of Club Joi will leave you with an experience to cherish.
It's far more relaxed than most people expect. Club Joi acts as both an erotic dance club and an on-premise swing club — many couples spend their first visit dancing, people-watching, and meeting friendly, like-minded people. Nobody is ever pressured to do anything. Most first-timers tell us the same thing: it feels surprisingly normal.
No. Watching is a completely valid way to enjoy the club, and many couples start there. Touching without asking is against the rules and may get someone thrown out. No means no, always. You set your own pace — some couples take years to move past watching, and that's perfectly fine.
Absolutely. With a huge dance floor and a big-Hollywood-nightclub feel, plenty of members come primarily to dance, flirt, and socialize. Playing is entirely optional.
Club Joi is a members-only club for open-minded couples and single ladies. Single gentlemen may attend only our special Ladies Fantasy events, hosted by the Hot Wife Community, where the number of single men is limited. Membership must be approved before you attend — start with the required profile.
This is one of the biggest differences from a regular nightclub. Gentlemen are here with their partners and have agreed to follow the club's rules of consent and respect. Ladies call the shots, and our members and staff take that culture seriously. Many women say it's the most comfortable club environment they've ever experienced.
Every Friday and Saturday. Saturdays are the big night — 250 to 300 guests, from 9pm until 5am. Fridays are a fun, frisky 120 to 150 people. We also host occasional weeknight events like Karaoke Wednesdays and Sex Game Nights — check the calendar.
A massive 12,000-square-foot space with a big Hollywood nightclub feel: high ceilings, a chandelier-lit group area, private and semi-private rooms, an exhibitionist/voyeur arena, themed playrooms, and 12 toilets (no waiting!). We're near four major freeways, about 20 minutes from the airport, with security and parking.
Fill out the required profile online before the event — membership cannot be purchased at the door. Once approved, members can log in to view our private events and tickets.

Our members are amazing. Every year we get bigger — no major advertising, built entirely on word of mouth. A recent survey said 20% of all married and long-term couples are swingers or have tried the lifestyle. In Los Angeles that means potentially nearly 400,000 swingers. We've got a lot of work to do. Join us and tell your friends. Keep Los Angeles swinging.
We started off in a little place in Beverly Hills. A small loft with three beds, a tiny dance floor, and only one toilet — but it did have a shower!
We moved to a much bigger place off Wilshire Blvd and quickly transformed into an actual club with parties twice a month. The space was rented out from underneath us — a big catering company signed a long-term lease. We got the boot!
Warehouse parties. The club bounced around downtown for a few months, renting locations by the night. Dragging beds, speakers, and everything else in and out. Difficult — but we still managed two parties a month.
Our Own Space. The building by USC was a lifesaver: five years of Club Joi, with a big dance floor, central air, separate rooms, and parking. We had a local artist paint sexy pictures on the walls. We started having parties every Saturday. Then Friday and Saturday. It really became home.
Unfortunately the building had persistent permit problems, and it eventually came down to parking. Planning never approved the shared use, revoked our occupancy, and the Fire Department closed us down. The police were actually very understanding — the captain said, "We don't have an issue with you. We know you aren't breaking any laws."
After five years we had to move on — two more temporary locations downtown in two years. Then, in 2018, we found a new home.
The New Building is the biggest yet — a massive 12,000-square-foot space with a big Hollywood nightclub feel and sexy play areas. High ceiling club area and a basement with a sexy feel. An elegant chandelier-lit group area. A shower big enough for four close friends. An exhibitionist/voyeur arena. Private and semi-private rooms. Triple-bed orgy rooms. Blue rooms, red rooms, a dark room. And the restrooms: one for the ladies, one for the gentlemen, and a coed restroom with a shower. 12 toilets. No waiting.
Near four major freeways, our members come from everywhere — the beach and inland, north in the Valley to South Orange County — and we're only 20 minutes from the airport for couples visiting Los Angeles. It even has parking.
This building was a game changer. People from all over the world compare us to the swing clubs they've visited on their travels — Club Joi is recognized by swingers around the world. We continually work to upgrade the building and your swinging experience.
When did it all start? According to evolutionary history, long before modern cultural norms, laws, or religion, we had: Cave Orgies.
Mankind split from chimpanzees 6–8 million years ago. Around 300,000 years ago, we upgraded into the sexy Homo sapiens you see in the mirror today. After 200,000 years of running from saber-toothed cats and every hazard imaginable, we finally got around to speaking. Which means for roughly 95% of human existence, communication was just grunts, groans, and screaming. Lots of screaming.
Nobody had time to debate where to order food or what to watch on Netflix. Surviving as a species meant getting busy fast. Hundreds of thousands of years of living and loving in close-knit groups hardwired our deepest desires.
From ancient rituals and Roman bacchanals to modern lifestyle spaces like Club Joi, that primal instinct keeps popping up. You aren't breaking the rules—you're just honoring your biology. It’s literally in your DNA.
Defining Club Joi isn't easy. It’s a big Hollywood nightclub vibe, but sexier—and with "benefits." A safe, judgment-free zone for couples and single ladies to flirt, dance, and explore without pressure.
We still use the word "swingers," but let’s be honest: it feels stuck in 1975, complete with mustache wax and key parties. Today's lifestyle couples are fit, modern, and empowered. We need a modern label, but the alternatives fall short:
The Lifestyle? Too generic. You'll still end up Googling "swingers" to find us.
Upside-Down Pineapple? Great secret handshake, terrible noun.
ENM (Ethical Non-Monogamy)? Sounds like a tax code—and if you scramble the letters, you end up at an Eminem concert.
Orgy? Ancient Romans had it right—music, food, wine, and passion. But today, the word just sounds like a tangled pile of bodies.
Society has moved forward, and so have we. Until the dictionary catches up to the modern lifestyle, we like the sound of Joi Clubs.
Club Joi is the only true swing club in town. California is loaded with lifestyle couples, and Los Angeles is the biggest market in the state—yet historically, new couples had almost nowhere to go. Over 16 years, we’ve watched at least one club fail every single year.
Hotel takeovers can be fun, but they're often awkward for newcomers who aren't quite ready to navigate a brightly lit hotel suite. House parties are hit-or-miss, and the neighbors get angry.
Before us, legendary spots came and went:
L.A. Couples was massive, but only survived three years.
Freedom Acres (Club FA) in San Bernadino was the longest-running venue in SoCal. Over 30 years, but it closed after the founder passed away.
The Chicken Coop? Closed.
Valley Flirts? Moved out of town.
Beverly Playhouse? Imploded.
The Amnesty Club? Gone.
Carnal Manor? Gone.
Lust Parties? Broke.
Since Club Joi opened its doors in 2010, more than 20 swinger groups and venues have come and gone.
We’re proud to hold down the fort for Los Angeles lifestyle couples and travelers visiting from around the globe—but we can’t do it without you. Join now. Attend often. Spread the word. Keep Los Angeles swinging.
