When did it all start? Probably with Cave Orgies according to science. Mankind probably split from monkeys about 3 million years ago. Around 300,000 years ago we became homo sapiens. About 100,000 years ago we started speaking. 11,000 years of religion. Only 5,000 years of written language. Long before religion and the norms of society we all just got together at night and had sex. Millions and millions of Cave Orgies!
Back then life expectancy was 18. Hundreds of thousands of years of living and having sex together in caves shaped our sexual behavior — the sexual behavior you probably recognize from your own bedroom.
Men need to spread their seed. They're always horny. It's not his fault. It's instinct. It takes self control to resist chasing every tail that moves. That sexual urge pops into his head whether he wants it to or not.

"The Lifestyle" sounds nice but it's not descriptive. You end up putting "Swingers Lifestyle club" in Google or you'll never find a party.
The Upside Down Pineapple — cute and clever but not a word. If you see someone wearing a shirt with an upside down pineapple, strike up a conversation!
Spicy Club sounds nice but hasn't gained the traction to replace "swing club". Happenings — that's what they call them in Japan. ENM (Ethical Non Monogamy) — a mouthful, and if you mix up the initials it means something totally different.
Orgy makes you think of Ancient Rome — actually more than just sex. It was a place where you hung out, had live music, ate, drank, and of course had sex. A lot like Club Joi today. But "orgy" just brings up images of a pile of bodies.
Attitudes change. Society changes. The Swingers Lifestyle has evolved along with the times. We just need a new name. Maybe Joi Clubs?
We started off in a little place in Beverly Hills. A small loft with 3 beds. A tiny dance floor. Only one toilet, but it did have a shower!
We moved to a much bigger place off Wilshire Blvd and quickly transformed into an actual club with parties twice a month. Then the space was rented from underneath us — a big catering company signed a long term lease. We got the boot!
Warehouse Parties. The club bounced around downtown for a few months, renting locations by the night and dragging beds, speakers, and everything else in and out. Difficult, but we still managed 2 parties a month.
The building by USC was a lifesaver — five years of Club Joi. A big dance floor, Central Air, separate rooms, and parking. We had a local artist paint sexy pictures on the walls. It really became home.
Unfortunately the building had persistent permit problems. Eventually it came down to parking. Planning never approved the shared use, revoked our occupancy, and the Fire Department closed us down. The police were actually very understanding — the captain said, "We don't have an issue with you. We know you aren't breaking any laws."
After 5 years we had to move on. Two more decent temporary locations downtown. Yes — two moves in 2 years. In 2018 we found a new home.
The new building is the biggest yet — a massive 12,000 square foot space. It has a big Hollywood nightclub feel with sexy play areas. High ceilings throughout. An elegant chandelier-lit group area. A shower big enough for 4 close friends. Exhibitionist/Voyeur Arena. Private and semi-private rooms. Triple bed orgy rooms. Blue rooms. Red rooms. Dark room. And the restrooms — one for the ladies, one for the gentlemen, and a coed restroom with a shower. 12 toilets. No waiting.
Near 4 major freeways — our members come from everywhere. The beach and inland. North in the Valley to South Orange County. Only 20 minutes from the airport for couples visiting Los Angeles. It even has parking.
This new building was a game changer. People from all over the world come to Los Angeles and compare us to the swing club in their home town. Club Joi has become a player on the world stage of swingers clubs. We continually work to upgrade the building and your swinging experience.
Club Joi is open every Friday and Saturday. Club Joi is one of the only clubs in the United States with Couples and Single Ladies on Fridays.
Saturday is the big night. With a 250–300 person average, we are by far the BIGGEST Swing Club in Southern California. Saturdays go from 9pm all the way until 5am! It's a long party. Pace yourself!
Fridays are a fun and frisky 120–150 people every week. Club Joi is the first Swing Club in LA to offer a Friday party in 16 years. Right now we have Inflation Buster Pricing on Friday Tickets, VIP Suites, Mini, VIP and Tables on the Dance Floor. Check the Tickets Page for more information.
Ladies Fantasy events at Club Joi have single men. They are actually NOT a Club Joi event although members are always welcome. They are hosted by the Hot Wife Community. The number of single gentlemen is limited. Club Joi couples and single ladies are always welcome.
Wednesday and Thursdays — occasionally we will have a Karaoke Wednesday or Sex Game Night with Sexy Simon Says, Musical Poles, Strip Tack Toe and more. Check the Calendar often or the newsletter to keep up to date.
Our Members are amazing! Every year we get bigger. No major advertising. Couples follow us no matter how much we've bounced around this town — and they invite their friends. Everyday someone calls and says their friends told them about Club Joi. Built entirely on word-of-mouth.

Club Joi is the only true swing club in town. California is loaded with swingers and Los Angeles is the biggest city — but new couples interested in the Lifestyle have had few options here. In over 15 years we see at least 1 club a year fail.
Hotel parties can be fun but awkward for inexperienced swingers — leaving new couples wondering if they will ever be bold enough in a well-lit hotel room. Houses are inconsistent and limited. Not conducive to a large swing crowd.
L.A. Couples was a huge swing club in Los Angeles — the only one with a party every weekend. It lasted about 3 years. Their closing was a major setback for Los Angeles swingers. Freedom Acres (Club FA) was the longest running club in Southern California, a big inspiration, but not in Los Angeles. Club FA closed after the owner passed away.
Beverly Playhouse closed. The Amnesty Club gone. Carnal Manor gone. Lust Parties went broke. Club Joi started in 2010. Since we started, more than 20 swinger groups and clubs have opened and closed.
